From time immemorial man has used Paintings in particular and Art in general as a medium to express himself. Cave paintings were testament to this as images of humans, animals, flowers, daily rituals as well as historic events were carved on rocks apparently to convey their history to the future generations. Similar depiction in the Ceramic objects is all the artistic evidence left from some prehistoric/vanished cultures.  The Art was also a medium to convey ideas in the absence of written scripts at the time. That however, has changed drastically as today there are numerous ways and means available to express your artistic self.  The art, none the less maintains that elusive high echelon that no other forms can possibly match.
